We are pleased to announce that as of March 1st, the team at Sanders Architecture has joined Overland Partners to become Overland’s new Austin office.  

We appreciate the support our design community has given us, particularly since the unexpected passing of our founding partner, Chris Sanders, last August.  His passing was a tremendous loss to us all, and we continue to be touched by the outpouring of compassion you have extended to us. 

Chris Sanders founded Sanders Architecture in 2009 with the vision of creating approachable and deliberately designed spaces that bring dignity to their inhabitants.  His dedication to this philosophy was evident in the respect and humility he demonstrated in his collaborations with clients and team members.  Over the next fourteen years, Chris built the Sanders Architecture team to join in the realization of this vision through carefully mentoring our team and teaching through collaboration.  

Chris instilled Sanders Architecture with our core values of integrity, design excellence, and sustainability.  We recognize those same values in Overland Partners’ commitment to influencing the world through the practice of architecture. 

Overland Partners is an award-winning architecture and urban design practice with over 115 professionals in 5 offices across the United States (San Antonio, Dallas, New York City, Denver - and now Austin). With extensive experience across numerous program types and scales, Overland’s projects are connected by a common thread of high quality, innovative, and client-responsive design.
