Redo Redux

“This Austin house had a checkered past, or so architect Chris Sanders suspected when he began to delve into ways to renovate it. His clients are a busy professional couple with two children—they wanted a functional home for their family but one that also better used the available square footage. As it was, the 60s-era house was dark and showed signs that it had been a duplex at some point. Sanders moved the home office to the ground floor near the front door and the existing master suite, and grouped living spaces around this core. The reconfiguration allowed for strong connections with the outdoors at the living, dining, and breakfast areas.”
